30km far from Bibione you can visit the suggestive Roman settlement of Iulia Concordia (the term "Sagittaria" was added in the XXth century to remember the manufacturing of arrows).

Triumvirs founded this village in 42 a.C. in order to create a quarter for war veterans and, at the same time, a defence on the Eastern border where Via Annia and Via Postumia, the two most important Roman roads of Northern Italy, meet.
