Sesto al Reghena, considered one of the most beautiful Italian villages, is a small village of Roman origin.
This town grew up for a military goal and as an area where northbound travellers could rest. he village is known for its Benedictine Abbey “Santa Maria in Sylvis”, made prestigious by Charlemagne’s charitable gifts. This abbey owe it’s name to river Reghena but also to its location: it rises up on the sixth milestone along this way.
