The Bar and Dining Room Manager supervises all staff within these areas, coordinating every aspect of service at the counter. They engage with guests in a professional and welcoming manner, contribute to menu creation, manage administrative tasks, and, if necessary, undertake the preparation of more complex drinks and dishes.
To excel in this position, strong leadership and management abilities are essential, alongside exceptional communication skills with both colleagues and guests. A comprehensive understanding of ingredients, raw materials, and specific tools of the trade is necessary, as well as proficiency in drink and food preparation and presentation techniques. Competence in foreign languages, problem-solving skills, and a thorough understanding of hygienic and health regulations applicable to the bar sector are also crucial.
